Silvia Caraballo is the Senior Staff Specialist for the AdvanceRIT program. She assists the program director with program management needs and provides administrative support to the AdvanceRIT program's employees. Silvia also facilitates project efforts and maintains administrative data and information regarding the program's objectives. Prior to joining AdvanceRIT in September 2020, she worked in various research and managerial office positions where she gained valuable experience working with directors, researchers, faculty, administrators, and minority groups at RIT. This included working in the Office of Faculty Diversity Recruitment. During the NSF AdvanceRIT NSF-Institutional Transformation grant, Silvia was a graduate research assistant in the projects and literature reviews, and data collection of Women of Color Research studies.
