Message from AdvanceRIT Director | Fall 2023

I hope the Fall semester has begun well for all of you. It is hard to believe we are almost one month into the semester. We, at Advance RIT have been busy planning and launching new initiatives. We started the semester with an off-campus faculty retreat at the serene Tait Preserve, where we engaged the faculty in prioritizing areas of focus for Advance. Next, we are offering a Conflict Negotiations workshop in September and a Workplace Incivility workshop later in the semester. As part of the Together RIT: A Day of Understanding, Advance RIT will be highlighting the accomplishments of international faculty and their contribution to RIT. On October 20^th, 2023, Advance RIT will organize a panel discussion on the cultural wealth, intellectual and social contributions of international faculty, particularly immigrant women faculty and their experiences on campus. Through our initiatives, we will persist in our efforts to achieve diversity, equality, and inclusion of faculty.
