Fall event review: 2021 Advance Learning Circle: Success Strategies for Women Faculty
The AdvanceRIT Learning Circle was held throughout the Fall 2021 semester. The purpose of the learning circle was to set up a supportive network of women faculty on topics related to career success and work-life balance. The Coach’s Guide for Women Professors: Who Want a Successful Career and a Well-Balanced Life by Rena Seltzer was the book utilized for the learning circle. 15 faculty members and staff attended with participants from Academic Affairs, CAD, CET, CLA, COS, GCCIS, KGCOE, NTID, and SCB. All of the participants who filled out the survey either strongly agreed or agreed that participating in the Learning Circle was a valuable use of their time and that it provided skills of information that will support their career success. Also, all participants strongly agreed or agreed that the learning circle helped to develop their network at RIT.
