Note: Scott Rummler MFA ’90 (FAA) is working with RIT Ph.D. Visual science students, He has invented a new kind of painting that appears white to the naked eye but takes on random colors when viewed through the camera. He has found a gallery in New York City to represent him, but would prefer to have my debut exhibit in Rochester. Any suggestions?

Note: Linda Patterson MFA ’75 (FAA) has published her second book, Am I Doing This Right? Finding My Way Through Grief. She offers an unflinchingly honest and compassionate account of her grief as she traces her way down dead ends, rocky roads, and wrong turns before emerging a stronger woman. Her first book, What We Do for Love: Cats in the Family, was published in 2018.

Note: Misha Ptak ’77 (KGCOE) writes that he has retired a year ago from a fulfilling career as a quality and process improvement professional. During his career, he worked as a government contractor on projects supporting the national defense and protection of U.S. borders. He also worked for the American Red Cross for more than five years, including actively supporting the response to Hurricane Katrina, which was very rewarding. With an electrical engineering undergraduate degree from RIT, and then later an MBA and PMP, He was able to apply learned skills to many different and evolving technical challenges. He has many hobbies and interests, including antique clock repairs and community volunteer work.

Note: Lisa Dreher ’09 (CAST) was recently promoted to a senior dietitian at the UltraWellness Center. This is a functional medicine clinic founded, by Dr. Mark Hyman. Functional medicine determines how and why illness occurs and restores health by addressing the root causes of disease rather than simply treating the symptoms. Nutrition is a core principle in functional medicine, and it is a gift to work in an environment where my knowledge is valued and supported! Thank you RIT for providing such a solid education so I could go on to help so many people.
