Dorothy Farris recently came out of retirement to be a senior contributor for AchieveUnite, a consulting and education company in the high-tech industry. Previously Dorothy was Vice President, US Sales, SLED (State and Local Government and Education) for Veeam Software, the leader in Virtualization Backup and Replication Software. She was responsible for initiating and developing this market segment by driving revenue, building strong customer relationships, implementing comprehensive channel strategies, and overseeing an industry leading sales team. Dorothy also served as Vice President, US Sales prior to Veeam’s industry segmentation. Prior to joining Veeam, she was Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Jupiter Systems Inc, the industry leader in display wall processors and software.

Farris started her career at IBM in sales which led to other opportunities with companies like Epson, Compaq, and Wyse. Dorothy has more than 40 years of executive sales leadership experience in high technology and has been one of the pioneer sales women in this area. She has been a recipient of numerous awards and was featured in Fortune magazine as a “super savvy salesperson”.

Currently Trustee Emeritus of Pacific Oaks College and Children’s School, she served as its board chair for six years. Dorothy has been a member of the RIT President’s Roundtable since 2020. Dorothy also sits on The Community Solution Education System and The Chicago School boards. She was a two-term president and board member for Leadership California, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to advancing the leadership of women in business, social, and public policy arenas, as well as being a participant and serving as an Advisory Board member of Leadership America.
