Robert Moore Jr.
BS '91
Partner, Cloud & Digital
Bob Moore enrolled at RIT because of the co-op driven Computer Science program. Graduating in 1991, Bob balanced his studies with military service as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy Reserve, where he honed his discipline and resilience. RIT’s co-op program played a pivotal role in Bob’s early career, securing his first job after graduation. He earned MBA degrees from Cornell University and Queen’s University to augment his business acumen alongside his technical responsibilities.
Early in his career, Bob was instrumental as a founding team member of PAETEC, a Rochester-based telecommunications firm that eventually went public and grew to $2B in revenue before being acquired by Windstream in 2011. As Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at PAETEC, Bob oversaw IT, Engineering, and Service Delivery.
Following the merger of PAETEC and Windstream, Bob entered a new professional phase and in 2013 founded EagleDream Technologies in Rochester, quickly establishing it as a leader in engineering and cloud solutions. Bob's commitment to nurturing young talent persisted, with nearly 200 RIT co-op students joining EagleDream’s engineering and cloud teams. In 2014, Bob co-launched EagleDream Health, another Rochester-based firm predominantly employing RIT co-ops and alumni. The healthcare analytics startup gained swift industry acclaim for its cloud-native data technology and was acquired by NextGen Healthcare in 2017, reinforcing Bob's status as a successful entrepreneur and leader.
In 2020, EagleDream was acquired by PwC, where Bob now serves as a partner. Throughout his career, Bob has remained committed to RIT, serving on the Dean’s Council for GCCIS and as a university Trustee, while also creating scholarships and supporting initiatives like Imagine RIT. His legacy of leadership and mentorship continues to shape the next generation of technology innovators.
