Graduate to screen short feature films
An RIT alumnus will screen a series of short feature films at the Little Theatre in Rochester on March 28.
Jason Berry ’92 (graphic design) is best known as the director, videographer, editor and writer of Chasing Legends, a documentary about the 2009 Tour de France.
The screening, which is hosted by Berry’s company Gripped Films, will feature a series of 3- to 5-minute clips filmed at the 2011 Tour de France for NBC and Versus. The features, which never aired, offer a behind-the-scenes view of the tour. Berry will explain what went into the production of each segment and take audience questions along the way. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event begins at 7 p.m.
Berry, who is a self-taught videographer, says he is excited to return to his hometown for this screening. His films have won more than 15 international awards. The last Rochester screening of Chasing Legends in August 2010 drew a sold-out audience of more than 500 people.
The screening will last about 90 minutes. Tickets are available for $10 online or $12 at the door.
