Largest gathering celebrates accomplishments of women

Eight alumnae were recognized at the fourth annual Women’s Career Achievement Dinner April 27.
Recognized for their accomplishments were: Molly Johnston ’01 (College of Applied Science and Technology), system protection and control engineer, Rochester Gas & Electric Corp.; Caren Friedman ’87 (College of Imaging Arts and Sciences), consultant; Jennifer Whitman ’80 (College of Liberal Arts), assistant district attorney, Monroe County; Tiffany Bonus ’04, ’07 (College of Science), research manager, KJT Group LLC; Jun Carney ’02 (Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences), software engineer, Xerox Corp.; Erin George ’06 (Kate Gleason College of Engineering), Xerographic process engineer, Xerox Corp.; Donna Gustina ’75 (National Technical Institute for the Deaf), department chair, American Sign Language and Interpreting Education, NTID; and Suzanne Clarridge ’84 (Saunders College of Business), president and CEO, My Brands Inc.
The event, sponsored by the RIT Women’s Center, RIT Leadership Institute, the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs was the largest ever, with more than 325 people attending. Caryl Stern, president, United States Fund for UNICEF, was the keynote speaker.
