Rochester Institute of Technology alumnus and graphic designer Pete Bella Jr. ’03 has been awarded the 2009 Best Website Award by Trout Unlimited, the national conservation organization. As webmaster, Bella is being honored for the site development and design of Seth Green Trout Unlimited, the Rochester area chapter, where he also serves as secretary. He will receive the award at the organization’s 50th anniversary celebration and annual meeting Aug. 21 in Traverse City, Mich.

“Trout Unlimited has played a central role in the conservation of freshwater fisheries at the local, state and national level for a half century, and I am incredibly honored to receive recognition for my efforts to enhance its mission,” Bella says. “The Seth Green chapter is committed to raising awareness and promoting conservation in the Rochester region and our Web site is a key component in achieving these goals.”

Bella, of Henrietta, is a senior graphic designer with RIT University Publications and has served as an officer with the Seth Green chapter since 2005.

Trout Unlimited is an international membership organization with more than 150,000 volunteers that works to conserve, protect and restore North America’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.
