Campus Art Loan Program

The campus art loan program provides artwork for display in public areas on campus for RIT staff and faculty to appreciate on a daily basis.  A limited selection of artwork is available for loan, and each loan is considered on a case-by-case basis. If you are considering borrowing works, the following guidelines apply:

• A maximum of two framed works are available to any one borrower.
• Offices requesting art must meet minimum requirements in terms of security and environmental factors.
• Loans are granted for a term of one year and may be renewed.
• It is the responsibility of the borrower to properly maintain the artwork.
• Borrower may not loan or transfer piece to another person.
• Borrower must return artwork to RIT Archives (ritarchive@rit.edu) if moving to another location on campus or leaving the University.
• Borrower must supply the current condition of item(s) as well as current photos of item(s) on an annual basis. 
• Art loans may be recalled at any time for purposes of conservation, research, exhibition, or limited due to their condition.

All loan requests are subject to the approval of the University Archivist.
