Past Exhibitions

Organized by Joshua Rashaad McFadden, this exhibition emphasizes the preservation of cultural heritage in the Afro-Brazilian diaspora through photographic portraiture. A film screening, panel discussion, a guest lecture are scheduled in addition to the exhibition in Harris Gallery.

The Pussy Riot founder, artist and performer will visit RIT in October for a multi-media exhibition in William Harris Gallery and artist talk as part of the Anna Ballarian Visiting Artist Series. One of her works will also be included in Doomslayers, a group exhibition at City Art Space, opening November 1, 2024.

This annual group show brings together creative work in various media by faculty across the College of Art and Design, including Art and American Crafts, Design, Film and Animation, and Photographic Arts and Sciences. The exhibition spans two galleries: Bevier Gallery (Booth Hall, 2600) and William Harris Gallery (Gannett Hall, 3030).

Featuring some of the best examples of student work across the RIT School of Photographic Arts and Sciences: Advertising, Fine Art Photo, Photojournalism, and Photo Sciences, juried by faculty.

Seniors in the Fine Art Photography program present their capstone exhibitions in two locations: William Harris Gallery (on RIT campus) and City Art Space (in downtown Rochester). Divided into two galleries, this group exhibition features the culminating work of fourteen artists in their senior year.

Curated by Saige Kanik ('24 film and animation BFA) and Christine Banna (senior lecturer, School of Film and Animation), this exhibition surveys the 40-year history of RIT's stop-motion animation program through films and objects from award-winning alumni to current students.
