RIT Press publishes book on the letter as a medium
RIT Press published RZLBD Letters by Reza Aliabadi. The book of original design work by the artist and architect known as RZLBD explores the letter as a medium and a vintage typewriter as an instrument. Aliabadi pays homage to artists who have inspired him, including Yoko Ono, Donald Judd, and Hiroshi Sugimoto. The book includes a foreword by Josh Owen, RIT Vignelli Distinguished Professor of Design, and a preface by R. Roger Remington, the RIT Vignelli Distinguished Professor of Design Emeritus. A pop-up exhibit of letters is on view at University Gallery through the end of fall semester.
