Worden contributes essay to ‘Ilan Manouach in Review’
Daniel Worden, associate professor of art, has his essay “Can Comics Think?: Automation on The Cubicle Island” published in the book Ilan Manouach in Review: Critical Approaches to his Conceptual Comics, edited by Pedro Moura. Worden’s essay is about a comics project that used Amazon’s Mechanical Turk platform to outsource new captions for old cartoons about being stranded on a desert island. The book is also forthcoming in a French edition from publisher Echo Chamber.
