“The ‘Treasures’ collection is symbolic of objects I’ve collected and had interest in throughout my life,” Megan Werner ’20 (Metals and Jewelry Design) said of her capstone work. “It analyzes what we’re attracted to and why we decide to keep something for years to come. I’ve found that I’m attracted to the linear qualities that I see in an object that I then stylize into my artwork. I also have an appreciation for fine details and complex form in the objects that I keep and take inspiration from. This work specifically draws from my obsession with aquatic life and its transformative properties.”
