EUREKA! 2022 Interdisciplinary Collaboration for Social Change
The eighth EUREKA! event was held October 20-22, 2022. This year's community partner was CP Rochester, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual and physical challenges. Eight interdisciplinary teams addressed CP Rochester's request to find new ways to attract and retain highly qualified front-line employees for the Residential and Children's Programs. The participants represented first year through grad level students as well as several colleges at RIT. CP Rochester selected Team Lorrie Ipsum's solution for implementation, and the team will complete deliverables during spring semester 2023. Team members included graphic designers Gabi Johnston, Tennyson Sprout, Hannah Zalewski, and Dante Quintana.
EUREKA! is only possible through the hard work of alumni facilitators and student team members. This year's alumni facilitators were Isabella Madeira (Graphic Design) and Chris Flemming. (Industrial Design). Both facilitators had participated in previous EUREKA! events. Student team members for this event included Misha Szende, Allie Cervantes, and Serina Lin. Thanks for everyone for making this EUREKA! event a success.
