The Body in Art, Design and Medicine will trace the history of documenting the human body from the perspective of anatomical correctness in art to the development of atlases and objects for medical study and investigation. It will be a chronological, topical and cross–cultural look at the representation of the body in science and art, through readings, lectures, guest speakers, field trips to the University of Rochester Medical Library and study abroad in Florence, Italy.
