Time Lapse Imaging System
About
The 2023 RIT Photographic Sciences seniors were responsible for designing, building, and programming a fully automated time-lapse imaging system. A time-lapse video is made up of a series of photos that are taken several seconds or minutes apart over a longer period of time.
The students involved in creating the system were Jingru Guo, Wyatt Hyzer, Harriet Insley, Stephen Rinaldo, Cailey Shaughnessy, Jameson Wright and Anna Yingst. They worked under the guidance of Tim Bauch, research/engineering support IV in the College of Science's Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science. The below video is from the automated time-lapse imaging system that captures live events on the RIT campus, including Imagine RIT on April 29, 2023.
