Who are off-campus and commuter students?
RIT defines a commuter student as any student living at “home” (generally with a family member, parent, or guardian). You are considered an off-campus student if you are not residing in college-owned housing or at home. For example, if you live at places like Park Point, Province, The Hill, Apex, or The Lodge, you are considered an off-campus student.
Commuter Lounge
The Commuter Lounge offers a welcoming space for off-campus and commuter students to relax, study, and connect with peers. Students can find a variety of amenities in the lounge, including reservable lockers, a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave for meals, computers, video and board games, TV, and more. The lounge is staffed by Commuter Ambassadors who are available to assist students and contribute to organizing Off-Campus and Commuter Services events throughout the year.
Campus Center, A-Level, Room A640
Hours: Fall and Spring Semesters, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
The Commuter Lounge is closed during academic breaks, including the summer term.
