The Cover Art of Adam Kubert
RIT enters the Spider-Verse as the Cary Graphic Arts Collection displays the original cover artwork created by Marvel Comics artist and RIT Alumnus Adam Kubert for Spider-Man India. Kubert’s artwork for issues 1-5 of the series will be on display from September 21 to December 15 in a newly dedicated space on the second floor of Wallace Library, The Kubert Lounge and Gallery.

Spider-Man India: A Conversation with Adam Kubert and Nikesh Shukla
September 21, 2023, Lecture at 6 p.m. RIT Student Alumni Union, Ingle Auditorium; Book Signing and Reception at 7 p.m. in Wallace LibraryJoin the RIT Cary Graphic Arts Collection in welcoming two of the creators of the comic book series, Spider-Man India. Marvel illustrator and RIT Alumnus Adam Kubert BFA '81 has worked in the comic book industry since a teenager, illustrating titles such as Wolverine, The X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers. Novelist and screenwriter, Nikesh Shukla is the author of a recent memoir Brown Baby, the young adult novel The Boxer, and the editor of the collected works The Good Immigrant.
Kubert and Shukla will discuss their work on Spider-Man India in a moderated conversation at 6:00 p.m. in Ingle Auditorium, followed by a reception and signing at 7:00 p.m. in the newly renovated Wallace Library and The Comics Lounge and Gallery. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required by September 11.
