William Golden
William Golden (1911–1959) was the influential art director of Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS). He created the corporate identity and classic CBS “eye” mark during his tenure as creative director of advertising and sales promotion. He was married to fellow art director Cipe Pineles, from 1939 until his untimely death in 1959.
The William Golden collection came to RIT in 1991 on deposit from Tom Golden. The collection is being processed. Please contact the Cary for access.
