What is Deep Freeze?

Faronics Deep Freeze is used in various labs in GCCIS. This software allows us to give students administrator privileges to do school work on the lab computers and restore them to semester curriculum requirements after each student use. It is vital that students SAVE any of their work to other areas if they want to ensure their data is kept.

Examples include:

• SVN such as GIT
• Google Drive
• External Hard Drive / USB drive (Think about what would happen if you lost this drive!)
• Local department servers (Student data is NOT backed up on these devices - you should make a secondary copy)
