Dr. Godoy completed her B.A. in Psychology and in Italian at Vassar College. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from American University and completed her postdoctoral fellowship from University of Michigan (Go Blue!). Dr. Godoy was a 2019 recipient of the Harriet Copher Haynes Diversity Mentorship Award from the Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors. Prior to joining the team at RIT, she served in leadership positions at Western Washington University's Counseling and Wellness Center and at Catholic University of America's Counseling Center. Dr. Godoy is licensed as a psychologist in New York State and Washington State.
Dr. Godoy guides clients in examining past patterns to determine what might currently be getting in their way and helps them identify strategies for living a life that matches what matters most to them. Dr. Godoy especially enjoys working with LGBTQ+ students, student veterans, students with eating/body image concerns, and survivors of trauma.
Outside of work, Dr. Godoy loves to explore trails, run long distances, and go on adventures with her family.
