Fredrik Sikström

Associate Professor Fredrik Sikström is an expert in sensor-based automatic control systems with over 45 publications in the PT area. He leads research in the Production Technology Center and in this role he will facilitate IRES students to promptly connect with graduate student peers at UW and bring them up to speed with PT equipment and projects. Sikström is a research expert on in-process monitoring and control of additive manufacturing. Sikström has supervised 7 PhD students, and numerous MS and BS students and has extensive prior experience from prior funded projects (over 20, leading 14).
