Exploring photography’s role in social change
“Whose Streets? Our Streets!” features the work of 37 independent photographers who documented protests, demonstrations and conflicts on the streets of New York City from 1980 to 2000. The project, led by RIT faculty and alumni, features a book, short film, interactive website and exhibitions. -

RIT helps students take an entrepreneurial gap year
Brandon Hudson is the first student selected for the Gap Year Entrepreneurship Fellows Program, which allows students with an ongoing enterprise to take a year to focus their full attention on the venture. He will receive $15,000 in support and mentoring while also making progress on his RIT degree. -

Catch the KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival
RIT is a major educational sponsor of the community collaborative event, now in its seventh year, and will provide free shuttle bus service to and from campus during the festival weekends. All of the 38 RIT performances and exhibits are free. -

RIT has its first on-campus voting site
This year for the first time, eligible students at RIT will be able to cast their vote in a general election without leaving campus. The Monroe County Board of Elections is establishing a polling station at RIT’s Gene Polisseni Center. -
