    Forty East House clients will take part in the two-week East House James Papero Enrichment Program at RIT, named after longtime RIT employee James Papero. The program is designed to encourage participants, who are recovering from mental health or substance use disorders, to pursue educational goals.

For Leah Bockhahn, Muhammad Ibraheem and Shantel Forrest, crossing the stage had an even deeper meaning as they became the first in their families to graduate from college.

    RIT’s Center for MAGIC announced the winners of the first-ever New York State Game Development Challenge, with Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul and RIT President Bill Destler. Teams from RIT won first place in both the student and independent developer categories.

    The 10th Imagine RIT festival drew big crowds, despite cool and rainy weather. Tens of thousands came to experience nearly 400 exhibits in science, technology, engineering, fine arts and mathematics, including student research projects and displays organized by campus clubs.
