CMOS+X NRT program will create a new generation of leaders in interdisciplinary CMOS+X semiconductor technologies for industry, government, and academia. We plan to engage 20 NRT funded Ph.D. trainees, together with 150 unfunded Ph.D. and MS trainees.

Application Details

Applicants should be existing RIT graduate students from the “Eligible graduate programs” or have already officially applied to the “Eligible graduate programs”.
Notification: Rolling
Application materials to submit:

  • Complete application form
  • RIT ID or Copy of email from RIT Graduate Admissions indicating your application is complete [Upload image or PDF file]
  • Upload CV (3-page limit)
  • Please upload your personal statement, describing why you qualify for the NRT Traineeship program (1-page limit). It should discuss your preferred research track and summarize your research and training plan.

Eligible Graduate Programs

To apply to become a Trainee, you must be an RIT student associated with one of the following eligible Ph.D. and M.S. on-campus programs in Rochester, NY.

In addition, to be considered for a Trainee position with a funded $34,000 fellowship, you must be a US citizen, national or permanent resident.
