PEN-International's cross-cultural exchange program has been in existence since year one of the project (2001). The program, originally comprised of the Ambassadors of Goodwill student exchange, has been extremely successful and well received by participants. As a result of this success, the program has expanded to various cultural related exchanges including visiting faculty, haiku and tanka competitions and demonstrations, art exhibitions, and taiko drumming performances.
