Ron Dufort is originally from the Lake Champlain Valley in Northeastern New York, Ron has spent the last thirty years making Rochester his home, building both an engineering life – as a product development engineer at the Xerox Corporation – and a performing life – as an actor and trombonist in Western New York. The vibrant arts community in this area has enabled him to be a part of some amazing productions with remarkable people, bringing stories to life and connecting people and their lives. When not acting on stage, he may be found acting on a film set, or building a set, or setting – sitting – on an advisory board or a board of directors of a non-profit (or four). He finds that working behind the scenes, helping enable a group to do amazing work, can be as rewarding as the work itself – be it a theatre company, an international friendship organization, or an engineering college. “It is a joy and an inspiration to be involved with the Company Theatre, especially as we lay the foundation for many years of creativity and innovation and community!”
