SHED - Individual Practice Rooms
RIT has more than twenty practice rooms, including specialized spaces for percussionists, electronic music, and small ensembles. The practice rooms are located in the SHED, the Student Alumni Union, Liberal Arts Hall, and the Ritter Ice Arena. Students participating in School of Performing Arts ensembles or courses or fulfilling their Performing Arts Scholarship requirements are able to reserve these spaces. All other students may use the SHED practice rooms during designated open hours.
Five individual practice rooms are located on the A level of the Student Hall for Exploration and Development. The rooms are suitable for 1-2 student(s) to practice in.

Open Hours
The SHED Practice Rooms are available during the following times to all RIT Students, Faculty, and Staff using an RIT ID Card. Please limit your practice time to an hour or less.
Mondays
8:00am-10:00am
Tuesday
7:30pm-9:30pm
Wednesdays
7:30pm-9:30pm
Thursdays
8:00am-10:00am
Saturdays *Only in SHED A139*
8:00am-10:00pm
There are no open hours the last week of the semester and during finals week. This is to accommodate the academic needs of students participating in SPA courses, and Performing Arts Scholars fulfilling their scholarship requirements.
