Auditory Dysfunction Therapies
Auditory Dysfunction Therapies
David Borkholder, Principle Investigator
This new therapy is being developed in the mouse model system, and uses implantable micropumps and quantitative non-invasive analysis of drug concentrations to advance intracochlear drug delivery for therapy development. The research will lead to key advancements in controlled, quantitative inner ear drug delivery, said David Borkholder, RIT’s Bausch and Lomb Associate Professor of Microsystems Engineering and principal investigator of the project, which is a collaboration with the University of South Florida.
