Bio
Serena is a Research Engineer in the Digital Imaging and Remote Sensing (DIRS) laboratory, currently aiding in the development of the Digital Imaging and Remote Sensing Image Generation (DIRSIG) model. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Physics & Astronomy from the University of Rochester, where she specialized in computational methods and machine learning applications to solar physics, as well as laboratory education. Previous research experience has led her to collaborations with the National Solar Observatory, High Altitude Observatory, and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research. She is currently pursuing her MS in Data Science at RIT.
