Students present at Regional Graduate Mathematics Conference

Narshini Gunputh and Trevor Lax, both mathematical modeling Ph.D. students, presented at the 48th Annual New York State Regional Graduate Mathematics Conference. Gunputh presented on “Mathematical Modeling of Contact Lens Drug Delivery,” and Lax presented on “Generating Models of Jasmonic Acid Biosynthesis using Sparse Identification of Nonlinear Dynamics.” Assistant Professor Lucia Carichino advised the students on their work along with co-advisors Nathan Cahill and Kara Maki, all from the School of Mathematical Sciences.
