The goal of our organization is to foster a sense of community amongst women-identified students in mathematics and to encourage people of any gender identity to pursue mathematics.
Overview
Welcome to the RIT Student Chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM). We are a student organization with undergraduate and graduate student members. Any student of RIT of any gender can be a member of the Student Chapter of AWM at RIT.
The Association for Women in Mathematics is a national organization devoted to promoting an increased knowledge of and greater interest in the mathematical sciences. This includes pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and their applications; a greater understanding of the contributions of women in the mathematical sciences; and mentoring and encouraging women and girls as they consider and prepare for careers in the mathematical sciences.
There are over 100 student chapters at universities across the country.
Monthly meetings are held in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at RIT throughout the academic year. The meetings are open to all members and prospective members. Join us through Campus Groups!
