Carey Corea
Carey’s creative path began at RIT in the 1960s. His artistic career initially focused on marketing communications and symbol design. He was a managing partner and creative director at ICE - Infantino Corea Enterprises - a groundbreaking and influential marketing firm in Rochester, NY.
Corea’s current focus is painting and drawing in encaustic - an ancient Greek invention made by combining bee’s wax, tree sap, and pigment. His interest ancient history and the world’s great spiritual traditions inspire an exploration of images, symbols, forms, and texture.
