Chatham Monk

Chatham Monk is a ceramicist and future art teacher who lives in western NY. Originally from rural Virginia, her work comes from a love of the natural world and the personification of animals through the tradition of mask making. She taught at Sweet Briar College and was a studio potter at Oxide Pottery, a wholesale / retail gallery in Lynchburg, VA. Currently, she pursues a career in education and you know, ‘if the creek don't rise’ - as they say.
