Snake Oil Glassworks began in 1998 when the furnace was lit for the first time in a small space in the basement of a garage in Skaneateles, NY. It has since expanded into a building that includes hot and cold working shops. Lorraine describes herself as the head glassblower, equipment builder, maintenance supervisor, and janitor. In addition to designing decorative and functional pieces, she works with architects on commission works.
