**Registration for the 2020 Grant Writers' Boot Camp has been closed**
The Grant Writers’ Boot Camp is a two-day intensive session focusing on persuasive writing and peer review. The program covers the elements of a proposal and is designed around a seed funding request for proposal (RFP). Faculty with experience at funding agencies will explain what makes a wining proposal and how peer review works.
When and where is it?
The Grant Writers’ Boot Camp is scheduled for January 7 and 8, 2020 in 87-1600. Breakfast is available at 8:00 a.m. on both days and the program begins at 8:30.
Who is eligible?
The boot camp is open to faculty who are expected to conduct externally funded research. This is a basic program designed for people with limited experience writing proposals. A proposal in response to the Grant Writers’ Boot Camp Seed Funding RFP is required for participation.

What is the deadline for seed funding proposals?
Proposals will be due by December 2, 2019.
How do I submit a proposal?
Before you submit your proposal, please check the following:
- Your filename uses the convention [PI last name]_[College acronym]_GWBC20.pdf
- Your font is no smaller than 11 point.
- Your cover sheet, project narrative, additional documents, biosketch, and dean’s letter are included in a single pdf file. You may only upload one document.
- Your file size cannot exceed 2MB

How do I submit a revised proposal?
Revised proposals will only be accepted if made between Jan. 8 and Jan. 14
What about the awards?
A limited number of awards will be made after review. Awards will support a plan of work to improve the investigator’s competitiveness for external funding and will be for one year.
