The Professor Rahamimoff Travel Grants Program for Young Scientists
The Prof. Rahamimoff Travel Grants Program is open to PhD students doing research that requires facilities or expertise not available in their home countries. The program has two calls annually, each supporting 10 awards.

Eligibility:
The trips will be only to a higher education, or a research facility in the U.S.A. (for Israelis) or Israel (for U.S. students). Must be 35 years of age or younger.

The Rome Prize
For over a century, the American Academy in Rome has awarded the Rome Prize to support innovative and cross-disciplinary work in the arts and humanities. Each year, the prize is awarded to about thirty artists and scholars who represent the highest standard of excellence. ThinkSwiss Scholarship
ThinkSwiss is a scholarship program funded by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). It is managed by the Office of Science, Technology, and Higher Education at the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C. and supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Ottawa, Canada. The aim of the program is to promote research opportunities in Switzerland for American and Canadian students and to foster exchange between Swiss, U.S., and Canadian universities and research institutions. The ThinkSwiss program encompasses both the Summer School Travel Grants and Research Scholarships. Summer School Travel Grants - This program offers travel grants to U.S. and Canadian participants for several Swiss summer schools. The participants will benefit from hands-on research, training and exposure to cutting-edge issues within a professional research community. Participants are selected by the respective summer school. Research Scholarships - for undergraduate or graduate students who have already found a research opportunity with a Swiss university. The ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship opens doors to the world of Swiss academia, which combines a high quality curriculum with innovative thinking. For whom? This program is designed for students who are enrolled at a U.S. or Canadian university and who have completed their sophomore year. The scholarship is open to students from all fields if they have an acceptance letter from a professor at a Swiss university for a research stay in their group.

Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship
The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program is a program funded by the U.S. Department of State, administered by Howard University, that attracts and prepares outstanding young people for Foreign Service careers in the U.S. Department of State. The Pickering Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to promote positive change in the world. Upon successful completion of a two-year master’s degree program and fulfillment of Foreign Service entry requirements, fellows have the opportunity to work as Foreign Service Officers in accordance with applicable law and State Department policy, serving in Washington, DC and at a U.S. embassy, consulate, or diplomatic mission around the globe. Fellows also agree to a minimum five-year service commitment in the Department of State’s Foreign Service. The five-year service commitment begins upon entry into the Foreign Service. The Program provides graduate fellowships to qualified college seniors and college graduates committed to joining the Foreign Service. The fellowship helps finance two-year graduate programs, provides two summer internships, offers mentoring from a Foreign Service Officer, and provides other professional development activities. The program continues to ensure that the Foreign Service reflects the face of America to foreign audiences and provides a source of trained women and men who are dedicated to pursuing Foreign Service careers with the Department of State and representing America’s interests abroad.

Eligibility:
3.2 or higher GPA; Seeking admission to a two-year, full-time, on-campus, master's degree program in the U.S. in an academic field relevant to work in the foreign service (public policy, international affairs, public administration, business, economics, political science, sociology). The Program encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and those with financial need.

Award Amount: $42,000 annually for a two-year period for tuition, room, board, books, and mandatory fees for completion of two-year master’s degrees. This includes up to $24,000 per year for tuition and mandatory fees and an academic year stipend of $18,000.

US Teaching Assistantship in Austria
Each year, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research (BMBWF) seeks recent college and university graduates interested in teaching English in Austria. Fulbright Austria (Austrian-American Educational Commission) has been responsible for recruiting US citizens for this outstanding program since 1962. More than 4,000 US teaching assistants (USTAs) have made a difference in hundreds of thousands of young Austrians’ lives over the decades. The objective of the BMBWF's teaching assistantship program is not only to expose young Austrians to native speakers, but also to arouse their interest in other cultures based on cross-cultural dialogue and personal contacts.

W.F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem

Wallace Biodiversity Grant
Students awarded an Alfred Wallace grant use the money towards their participation on scientific research projects conducted in the Wallacea region of Indonesia. During the eight week projects, students conduct bio-diversity studies, experience the highs (and lows) of real-life environmental research and contribute to on-going scientific investigations. The students work alongside world class scientists and the daily lectures from these experts complement the hands-on data gathering that is a core part of all the projects. There is a fee for participation. However, Operation Wallacea offers Alfred Russel Wallace Grants, aimed at students looking to join one of the biodiversity teams working in remote parts of the world in the summer. This grant is available for any students enrolled as an undergraduate at a US academic institution and booked on to any Opwall summer project.

Yamaha Global Internship
Yamaha Corporation is recruiting a wide range of competitive R&D and product development engineers for its internship programs. Interns will be working at the Innovation Center, which is Yamaha's dedicated R&D headquarters located in Hamamatsu, Japan.
