    A team of three computer engineering majors has developed a prototype for an emergency mass notification clock, which won the top prize and $5,000 in RIT’s first STEAM competition, sponsored by RIT’s Center for Public Safety Initiatives.

    Small World That wins Next Big Idea competition

    Small World That, a central hub that connects the international deaf community through a website and app, took home the $5,000 first prize in RIT/NTID’s The Next Big Idea Competition, a Shark Tank-style business competition.

    Peter Pincus, visiting assistant professor in the School for American Crafts, has received a Biennial Grant from the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, a prestigious honor given to a small number of artists across the country to help them produce new work and push the boundaries of their creativity.
