Soon industrial robots in warehouses will be smart enough to know which has the right of way in busy aisles. Researchers at RIT are developing an intelligent materials handling system for warehouses that integrates smart technologies.

RIT’s world-class home for cybersecurity has a new name. On March 8, RIT and ESL Federal Credit Union jointly announced an exclusive naming rights partnership for the ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute at RIT.

RIT and the Global Health Association @ RIT are partnering with humanitarian organization InterVol in an urgent donation drive to aid the people of Ukraine affected by the Russian invasion. InterVol’s Ukraine Relief campaign is accepting donations through Thursday, March 10.

Julianne Young is a second-year student from Duxbury, Vt., enrolled in both NTID and in the School of Individualized Study. She created her major through SOIS to further her goal of entering audiology school after RIT. On top of her studies, Young is also a standout track athlete.

RIT’s School of Film and Animation is once again ranked among the top animation schools in the country by Animation Career Review, a leading online resource of information for aspiring animation and game design professionals.

The Student Wellness Ambassadors Team encourages students to take a moment out of their day to perform a health-related activity, such as stress relief, taking a break, even making essential oil rollers. Wellness Peer Educators connect with their fellow students to talk candidly about alcohol and drug education, sleep hygiene, sexual health, and mental wellness.

The spring university-wide Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Gordon Field House. Some 3,000 students are expected to attend.

Saunders College of Business is increasing their efforts to promote women in business with the Women’s Leadership Summit, which aims to connect women, allies, alumni, and current and prospective students from the RIT and NTID community and to allow them to share career journeys and to develop new leadership skills and mindsets.

Carlson Center for Imaging Science recently helped successfully bring the new Landsat 9 satellite online and are partnering with a startup on a bold new initiative to help scientists in government and the private sector monitor changes in the Earth’s surface temperature.
