Interactive Storytelling: Creating Branching Narratives for Games
Unlock the secrets of interactive storytelling with our workshop focused on narrative design for games. Participants will learn how to create branching narratives, meaningful choices, and immersive game worlds that resonate with players. Whether you're a game developer or a storyteller interested in interactive media, this workshop will equip you with the tools to craft compelling game narratives.
Historical Fiction Workshop: Bringing the Past to Life
Step back in time with our historical fiction workshop, where participants learn how to research, recreate, and reimagine the past. From authentic settings and period dialogue to character dynamics and cultural contexts, this workshop provides aspiring historical fiction writers with the tools to craft immersive narratives that transport readers to bygone eras.
Worldbuilding for Teaching Critical Thinking and Empathy
Learn how the process of collaborative worldbuilding requires participants to think through how social forces present in a world shift over space and time and impact different groups of people in different ways. This workshop foregrounds the experiences of different people inhabiting the same place and time and understanding how and why people form their beliefs, motivations, and desires.
Fees
Workshop fees vary depending on a variety of factors including the number of participants, the workshop location, and the length of the sessions. Please contact the Director, Trent Hergenrader, at wthgsl@rit.edu to design a customized workshop to suit your needs.
