1. Artesano Bakery & Cafe

Located in Monroe Hall, Artesano is my personal favorite coffee shop on campus! I always make sure that I have enough time in my day to get a large vanilla iced latte before my first class of the day! Artesano serves in-house created desserts, breakfast pastries, sandwiches, cookies, tarts, and gluten-free and vegan options. They also serve blended frozen drinks, espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos from Peet's Coffee®. If you find yourself on campus, definitely try out Artesano! They have something for everyone!

2. Midnight Oil

Located in Global Village, Midnight Oil serves Starbucks® coffee, specialty drinks, artisan sandwiches, desserts, and pastries. They also feature student-crafted beverages throughout the semester which is super fun to try what different students have created! Midnight Oil also has so much seating available, so I always find myself going to Midnight Oil to study or just hang out with friends, with a coffee in hand of course!

3. Beanz

Located on the dorm side in Grace Watson Hall, Beanz is a must-have for first-year students who need a quick pick-me-up! Beanz serves local Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters®  drinks, milkshakes, and seasonal specialty drinks, along with freshly baked goods, desserts, sandwiches, and smoothies blended with whole fruits, vegetables, and cold-pressed apple juice from a local orchard, Red Jacket Orchards. Beanz also serves their own Tiger Blend coffee using fair trade Bolivian dark roast coffee. Beanz was my go-to my first year due to the proximity to dorms and convenient hours!

4. Java’s

Located in Wallace Library, Java’s serves fresh, locally roasted coffee, organic teas, light snacks, and gluten-free and vegan options in a casual and comfortable atmosphere. They also have a partnership with Java's on Gibbs Street in downtown Rochester! It’s important to note that Java’s does not take dining dollars, while the rest of the coffee locations mentioned take dining dollars! I like to treat myself with Java’s every once in a while!

5. Dunkin’

If you want some coffee off-campus, a handful of Dunkin’s in the Henrietta and Rochester area surrounds the RIT Campus! Dunkin’ is my favorite go-to coffee spot when I want to get off campus! I also have my car with me at RIT, so I love taking my friends to Dunkin as well! It’s always good to get off-campus every once in a while, so I like to treat myself to Dunkin’ when I want to get away from campus!

As we can see, there are plenty of options for coffee places on (and off) campus! Whether you are a coffee lover like me, or you just need a quick pick-me-up, these different shops are here to serve you and all of your caffeinated needs! These shops make college life much easier!
