How I Learned About RIT as a Prospective International Graduate Student

I first encountered RIT at a university fair, where I was immediately captivated by its location in the heart of upstate New York. Having completed a diploma in audio technology in Manhattan, the prospect of returning to the East Coast was highly attractive.

Prior to attending the fair, I had conducted thorough research on various universities and created a list of potential institutions in a Google Sheet. Initially, RIT did not appear on my list due to its considerable tuition fees. However, after securing a handsome scholarship, I explored the university's programs and examined the research initiatives undertaken by its faculty, I came to appreciate that RIT provided a truly distinctive educational experience.

In addition to the astounding curricula, RIT also offers a vibrant campus life. There are countless clubs and organizations to get involved in, from sports teams to academic societies. I personally found EDM Club to be a great way to meet new people and fellow musicians who might also be involved in Music Production. This involvement allowed me to unwind and interact with individuals beyond the academic sphere.

What truly sealed the deal for me was RIT's renowned co-op program. The opportunity to gain practical experience in the field whilst continuing your education, is a game-changer and RIT's co-op program offers the perfect pathway to achieve that goal. While I'm eagerly anticipating my future co-op experience, I'm confident that it will be a valuable addition to my academic journey.

RIT has exceeded my expectations in every way. From its renowned co-op program to its vibrant campus life, I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the RIT community. While I'm eagerly anticipating my future co-op experience, I'm confident that it will be a valuable addition to my academic journey. If you're looking for a university that can provide you with a top-notch education, countless opportunities for growth, and a lifelong network of friends, I highly recommend RIT. Plus, the Graduate Admissions Office is super helpful and answered all my questions.
