Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
At the heart of RIT’s mental health support is the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) department. Other Wellness Services
The Student Health Center at RIT provides high quality primary health care and education to students in a caring and supportive environment.The Case Management team assists students in connecting to resources on and off campus, as well as helping students navigate complex personal problems, including health insurance, food and housing insecurity, financial concerns, and more.
Wellness Education and Workshops
RIT actively promotes mental wellness through various educational programs and workshops. Topics covered include stress management, mindfulness, and resilience-building. This also includes the Wellness Collaborative provides students with engaging opportunities and programs that support ongoing well-being development. For example, Bow Wow Wellness is an opportunity to connect with trained therapy dogs, their handlers, and fellow animal-loving students. Bow Wow Wellness is held once per month in the Fireside Lounge. And don’t forget about Goat Yoga, held once a semester.
