‘Rubes’ creator named RIT’s first cartoonist-in-residence
Syndicated cartoonist Leigh Rubin, the creator of Rubes, has been named the first cartoonist-in-residence at Rochester Institute of Technology and will meet with students in RIT’s College of Art and Design, School of Individualized Studies and College of Liberal Arts. -

Student work on display at Ganondagan State Historic Site
Jordana Deutsch, a fourth-year industrial design student from Manasquan, N.J., created a wayfinding system that welcomes visitors to the Ganondagan State Historic Site and guides them through 569 acres of trails. -

Exploring photography’s role in social change
“Whose Streets? Our Streets!” features the work of 37 independent photographers who documented protests, demonstrations and conflicts on the streets of New York City from 1980 to 2000. The project, led by RIT faculty and alumni, features a book, short film, interactive website and exhibitions. -
