Accreditations
Middle States Accreditation
Rochester Institute of Technology is chartered by the legislature of the State of New York and is accredited by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), a “voluntary, non-governmental, membership association” that assures educational excellence through a robust process of self-study, site visits, and peer review.
AACSB Accreditation, Top 6% of Business Schools
Saunders College of Business undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, the premier accrediting organization for business schools worldwide. With more than 16,000 schools offering business degrees at the bachelor’s level or higher, only 6 percent of the world’s leading business schools achieve AACSB accreditation.
Saunders College initially achieved this distinction and honor in 1988 and has been reaffirmed several times; most recently in 2020.
To become accredited, a college must pass a rigorous assessment of quality by a team of deans from several peer institutions representing AACSB International.
To maintain accreditation, Saunders must demonstrate continuous improvement and pass a periodic, in-depth assessment of program quality by AACSB International. This emphasis on program quality directly benefits our students. Our integrated curriculum provides students with the tools needed to become successful in their careers while providing the opportunity to continue education at the postgraduate level.
Saunders College continuously strives to have the highest quality business education to comply with AACSB International standards. Why attend an AACSB-accredited school?
- Graduates are highly skilled and are more valuable to employers compared to graduates of non-accredited schools
- Faculty are high-quality, delivering relevant and challenging curriculum to students
- Students are provided with unique educational and career opportunities
