Why get involved in RIT’s Creative Industry Days?

Creative industry professionals get involved for a variety of reasons. Our employer partners have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with creative and innovative talent at RIT.
  • Actively recruit students and alumni from the College of Art and Design and students in select academic programs in RIT’s Golisano College of Computing and Information Science's School of Interactive Games and Media.
  • Share their expertise, professional career advice, and impart words of wisdom through portfolio critiques and career panels.
  • Promote their company/agency to the next generation of young talent.

Portfolio Reviews

There are two options this year to provide feedback, network, and/or recruit with RIT’s top creative talent: on campus and virtual. Register your organization to participate in person with a career fair format on Feb. 12 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Or volunteer to participate in 15-minute virtual one-on-one portfolio reviews where you choose your day(s) and block of time(s): 9 a.m.-12 p.m., 1 p.m.-4 p.m., 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Creative industry employers are welcome to sign up for any or all of the designated days and times.

  2. Please have the URL or link to the virtual platform you wish to use ready when registering to participate.
  3. If you are registering members of your team, please request days and times separately for each representative. Our office will add the representative information and create a new contact for them in RIT Career Connect.
  4. Career Services will match your area(s) of expertise to students with associated majors so you will be reviewing portfolios that match.
  5. In the description field, if you are actively recruiting, it is recommended to list the roles you are recruiting for and even better post your job descriptions or send them to us to post.
  6. Check your final schedule of the students, their majors, and email addresses by logging in to your "Info Session" in RIT Career Connect.
