University-Wide Career Fair

With more than 200 academic programs, RIT's University-Wide Career Fair is sure to provide employers with the talent they seek!

The RIT University-Wide Career Fair, sponsored by the Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education, offers our employer partners access to co-op as well as full-time candidates from our diverse portfolio of academic programs. Offered every fall and spring, this popular fair is open to all RIT students and alumni seeking co-op and full-time opportunities.

Interview Day 

There will be an optional Interview Day on Sept. 26, 2024, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. in Gordon Field House open to employers attending the career fair. Employers may set up individual interviews with students during the career fair.

Interpreting Services

Interpreting Services are provided for the University-Wide Career Fair. The interpreters are located on the first floor, by the field house check-in desk. 

Employer Information

Registration

Register for the University-Wide Career Fair through Career Connect beginning Monday, July 1. Career Services will work with your organization to determine whether this event is a good fit or if other options better support your recruiting goals.

Fees

The registration fee for the fair is $750 and includes two recruiters, a six-foot skirted table, and breakfast and lunch for attending representatives. Additional representatives are $100 per person. Due to capacity restrictions, employers can only have a maximum of five representatives per booth. The optional Interview Day registration fee is $250 for two representatives and $100 for each additional representative.

Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice and is required to secure your space.

  • If an employer cancels their career fair registration 30 days or more before the event, their credit card will be reimbursed through the Nelnet system. 
  • If cancellation requests are received within 30 days or less of the event, fees will not be refunded.
  • Unless a cancellation notice is received 30 days or more before the event, employers with confirmed registrations are responsible for the registration fees regardless of attendance or payment status. Future RIT Career Services event attendance may be restricted until all outstanding balances have been received.

Ship materials

Before Fair

If you plan to ship items, please do so no sooner than two weeks in advance and no later than five days prior to the event. It is advised to track your packages a few days before the event to ensure their arrival.

Pre-addressed shipping labels (Avery #5168) can be downloaded here, otherwise, you can ship your items to:

After Fair

Have return shipping labels filled out and ready to place on all packages you wish to ship back after the career fair. These items will be shipped out the morning after the career fair provided that all necessary information is included on the shipping label.

Attract the talent you seek

Please review the list of majors in your registration to help direct the appropriate students/alumni to your tables. To view and/or change your registration, log in to Career Connect or contact your Career Services account manager

RIT has talented students across a variety of unique majors. Please view the full list of majors offered and be receptive to talking to students with similar skill sets.

Open to hiring international students? Please review your registration in Career Connect and confirm that your ability to hire international students is marked correctly.

Post job positions

One of the best ways to connect with the talent you seek is to post positions in advance of the career fair. Log in to Career Connect and select “Create Job Posting.” Please submit job positions at least one week prior to the fair to ensure they will be posted in Career Connect before the event.

Review/add representatives attending

Please make sure your registration includes the contact information of each representative who will attend the career fair. Log in to Career Connect to view and change your registration information. Registered representatives will be emailed a unique QR code for check-in.

Pay outstanding balances

To confirm your space at the career fair, outstanding balances must be paid one week prior to the fair. Outstanding balances can be paid at https://rit.edu/careerservices/payments. Should you need another copy of your invoice, please contact ritcareerfair@rit.edu. Since invoices come directly from our system, be sure to check your spam folder.

Ensure representatives can speak to your majors and job opportunities listed

Please review the majors listed for your organization with the representatives who will be in attendance. It is helpful for them to be aware of opportunities outside of the disciplines they may represent.

Get ready for check-in

A few days prior to the career fair, a QR code will be emailed to registered representatives. We ask that representatives have this QR code ready on their phones for admittance to the Gordon Field House.

Schedule of Events

Employers are welcome to arrive after 7:30 a.m. Due to security measures, doors will be locked until 7:30 a.m. and early arrivals will NOT be allowed into the facility.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30-9:30 a.m. and lunch will be provided from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Doors will open to students at 10 a.m. and the career fair will close at 4 p.m.

Parking

There is limited space available in D and N Lots near the Gordon Field House. Please do not park in any spots labeled RESERVED. Once D and N Lots have reached capacity, you will be directed to Lots G and H. Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from G and H Lots to the Gordon Field House. A campus map is available at maps.rit.edu.

Did you know RIT alumni have full access to the RIT career fairs and Career Connect? Whether you graduated four months ago or five years ago, employers are excited to meet RIT Tigers from all years of experience.
