Graduate Salary and Career Info
The Career Services and Cooperative Education team establishes strong relationships with undergraduate and graduate students throughout their college careers. Select a program's name to learn more details. Programs labeled with "ID" indicate that insufficient data exists for that data set- this can be due to low student reporting or the program is new at RIT.
Co-op and Internship Overview
The majority of RIT colleges and programs require a co-op component. Learn more about the different co-op length requirements, the approximate number of students on co-op, and average weekly earnings per college through the Co-op and Internship Overview
A majority of RIT students complete required co-op components within their academic programs. Students report their co-op and complete an evaluation at the end of their experience in order for us to track employers, locations, salaries, learning outcomes, and more.
To collect post-graduation data, the office partners with academic departments to collect this information. Through our First Destination survey, the office learns what our Tigers' plans are after graduation- their current job, starting salaries, graduate school plans, and more. Consistent with other universities, the standard time frame for data collection is up until six months after graduation. Our coordinators continue their support of recent grads in their job search process. New alumni are encouraged to fill out the survey up to six months after graduation. Average first-year salary is created from data collected the past year or the past two years when not enough data is present.
Data below is collected annually and is RIT graduate data from summer 2020 through spring 2021.
