Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED) - Atrium
No Fee

This event connects employers with students who bring engineering principles to hands-on application. Hosted in the new SHED building, employers can tour team facilities, and see team vehicles, rockets, rovers, robots, and more. Participating teams include Electric Vehicle (EVT) Team, RIT Launch Initiative, Aero Design Team, Clean Snowmobile Team, Baja SAE Team, Formula SAE Team, HOTWheelz Formula SAE Team, and more!

• Check the RIT majors we added to your career fair registration. For information on the majors identified by our office that fall under the listed skill sets, click here
• Check if you have selected “Yes” to OPT/CPT hiring on your career fair registration and update if necessary.
• Diversify your organization. Consider recruiting from RIT’s talented affinity groups by registering for the Affinity Networking Reception (fees apply) or accessing the Affinity Resume Book (no fee). Learn more
• Drive attendance to your career fair table by posting your positions in advance. View directions for posting positions in Career Connect here

• If your schedule permits, consider attending networking events of interest, such as Performance Teams Open House or Optional Interview Day. To sign up for these events, please modify your registration in Career Connect or email ritcareerfair@rit.edu.
• Secure your hotel and travel plans. For your convenience, we have provided a list of hotels affiliated with RIT.
• Pay any outstanding balance and review our cancellation/refund policy.

Shipping Materials

Ship your materials no earlier than two weeks before and no later than five days prior to the career fair. Shipped materials will be delivered to your table the morning of the career fair. 

DO NOT send packages to Gordon Field House. Pre-addressed shipping labels (Avery #5168) can be downloaded here or you can copy and paste the shipping address below:

• Track your packages leading up to the event and share the tracking number with your attending representatives in case they need it.
• Have return shipping labels filled out and ready to place on packages you wish to ship back after the career fair. These items will be shipped out the morning after the career fair.

Package Drop-off

• Option 1: Drop Off the Night Before the Career Fair
  If you are attending the Affinity Networking Reception the night before the career fair, you may bring your career fair materials and leave them at your table in Gordon Field House. Career Services student volunteers will help assist with packages. Volunteers will be located on the lower level of the Gordon Field House.

Please note that although Gordon Field House is locked overnight and equipped with multiple security cameras, employers who leave items do so at their own risk.

• Option 2: Drop Off the Morning of the Career Fair
  Career Services student volunteers will help deliver materials to your table. If you wish to utilize this service, drop off your items outside Gordon Field House, near parking lot D, before parking. Student volunteers will deliver your materials to the employer table located near employer check-in.

Please share package drop-off options with your attending representatives. Additionally, this information will be shared with attending representatives via email the Monday before the career fair.

• Important: Ensure your registration includes contact information for each representative attending the career fair. This should include the representative’s name, email address, alumni status, and consent to release contact information. Unique QR codes for easy check-in will be sent to registered attendees the Monday before the career fair.
• Share parking information your team, including the parking and package drop-off map.
• Alert attending representatives to expect an email the Monday before the career fair from ajgoce@rit.edu with information that will include a QR code with directions for easy check-in as well as instructions for parking and package drop-off.
• Prepare your team: Review the majors listed for your organization with attending representatives and have them prepared to engage with students from majors outside their specific disciplines.
• Ensure attending representatives are aware of your organization's co-op and/or full-time positions.
• Discuss your organization's policy on OPT/CPT international hiring with your representatives.

• Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. Due to security measures, doors will be locked until 7:30 a.m. and early arrivals will NOT be allowed into the facility.
• Breakfast will be provided from 7:30-9:30 a.m. 
• Lunch will be provided from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. 
• Doors open to students at 10 a.m.
• Career fair closes at 4 p.m.

There is limited space available in D and N Lots near the Gordon Field House. Please do not park in any spots labeled RESERVED. Once D and N Lots have reached capacity, you will be directed to Lots G and H. Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from G and H Lots to the Gordon Field House.
